New Frankly Board 2024

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Frankly has rapidly established an international presence, and as the next step, the company is now setting up a professional board of directors, marking another significant milestone in its international growth strategy. Eivind Kolding, former CEO of Danske Bank and Maersk Line, will be chairman, while Tine Kaspersen, CEO of Dinesen and former COO of Bjarke Ingels Group, will join as a board member. Together with the Partner group at Frankly, they will bolster Frankly in accelerating its position in the global B2B market.

Eivind Kolding, the newly appointed chairman of the board for Frankly, states:

Klavs Valskov, my former communications director at Maersk Line, reached out to me, and together with the Frankly partners, we’ve had a positive dialogue about Frankly’s potential and future. We now take the next step, and I look forward to helping the Frankly team drive the company forward to greater international growth in the coming years. The position as chairman contains components that are particularly important to me. Firstly, it’s important that I can contribute in the context of the experience I bring, and secondly, as a person, I’m also focused on learning new things. Those who know me know I’m committed to acquiring new knowledge. I don’t come from a background in digital marketing, so I look forward to learning more about it. On the other hand, I can assist with my knowledge of scaling and international growth.

Tine Kaspersen, CEO at Dinesen, says:

I’m thrilled to join Frankly’s board, where I’ll undoubtedly draw on my experience taking a Danish company to the international stage. From my time as COO at Bjarke Ingels Group, I see several similarities in the business model, financial management, and internationalisation journey. Additionally, there are some clear parallels to my current job at Dinesen Floors, where we also work with design development innovation and unique, high-quality custom solutions, which is also the working method Frankly follows. Fundamentally, I’m very focused on the curiosity behind mastering one’s craft deeply, which applies to both companies. Being open and curious about a problem is an extraordinary ability that I highly value.

Over 60% of the company’s revenue already comes from outside Denmark’s borders, and at the end of 2023, Frankly established another office outside of Europe for the first time, in Boston, Massachusetts.

After four years of growth, the Danish-born creative digital agency is eager to fulfil its ambitions to expand its reach internationally, focusing on leveraging its core competencies in digital innovation and creative marketing for B2B companies.

Eivind Kolding brings invaluable experience in leadership and internationalisation to Frankly, which will be priceless in the coming years. Nicolai Wichmann, Partner and CEO, articulates the decision to establish a board with Eivind Kolding at the forefront:

Achieving international scaling ultimately comes down to developing the organisation sustainably and preserving what makes Frankly unique: our diversity, digital know-how, and approach to creativity as a meticulous method. Establishing a board is an incredibly healthy way to realise Frankly’s growth ambitions.

With his appointment as chairman, Eivind Kolding reunites with his former communications director at Maersk Line. Klavs Valskov, Partner and CCO at Frankly, who has previously worked closely together, comments on the new chairman’s recruitment:

Eivind’s unparalleled track record, profound insight into the international business world, and his ability to translate vision into reality make him the ideal chairman at this stage of our development. His experience from top positions at Maersk Line and Danske Bank has shaped him into a world-class strategist and leader with whom I have worked closely before. Now, we look forward to a thorough groundwork where we, together with the new board, will set a strong framework.

Frankly is now embarking on shaping the strategy to fulfil its ambitions for a strong position in the international B2B market. The newly established board expects the company to leverage its combined expertise and insights for international success.
